I vhbw requested replacement:

"I bought this battery end of July 2011 (see its statement in the notes) about their Amazon Store:
The battery was alternately used with the Sony original battery NP-FG1 in our Sony camera and so far only charged 3x.
The defect manifests itself so that even though the battery is (even overnight), charged over several hours with the original charger, the camera "Battery low" reports.
Charger and camera eliminated as an error source, since the loading of the original batteries and subsequent operation in the Sonycam function properly.
I request you to exchange the battery. Please write to me as you can imagine the rest of the procedure. "

The answer was a customer-hostile standard text block:
"...
For devices that are older than six months, the law stipulates that the customer must prove that the goods were already defective at the purchase of the product. Can not establish this, warranty claims would be unenforceable.

Even more interventions brought nothing:
"... We just stick to the guidelines of the Civil Code."
