My Little (10 months) is doing exceptionally well with these cups. They are light enough that it can keep itself, small enough that it does not sink in, keep the dishwasher and survive even smaller drops (eg from the table onto the laminate). For larger falls (in my case full tilt on the tiles) can be of any material expected to remain intact. The motives are very pretty, but not so striking that they distract the child from eating and drinking.
