The buttons are all well made and have a good pressure point.
After the 1V1 without flash came along (no flash in the box but only to buy as an accessory) has built a small flash the 1V2. Very good, especially because the flash sits on the camera and does not have to be placed. A hot shoe is still available, so it can be touched down, an external flash.
The objectives contained in the set (10-30 and 30-110mm) are very light and can be screwed onto the camera upside down.
To Set incl. Index A printed manual with a circumference of 101 pages (German only!) At the end. The guide is structured logically and is enormously helpful, because the camera but has a thing or two extra in stock (more on that later), which opens up immediately.
After it was more difficult in the 1V1 perform a manual adjustment, this is obviously downright desirable in the 1V2. On top of the camera to a thumb wheel on the manual settings can be made is without foraging in advance through the menus. All settings can be changed, which is very fast for something settling out of hand, especially in conjunction with the F-key underneath.
Besides the usual P / S / A / M settings, there is the possibility on the Best Moment Capture function to hold a brief slow motion and waylay the appropriate moment about this then to shoot a nice picture. The facility is new to Nikon, there is so far, I mean right from Casio and works very well.
Series images are incorporated with 5.15.30 and even 60 frames per second. The photos are then not available as standard (and remove if necessary) but in image playback all images are to be selected individually. Bit tedious.
The viewfinder is very sharp and offers a great picture. In low light, this begins quite to rustle but not as strong as for example in the Sony NEX-seventh
The display is sharp crack and the colors are also very good again. The picture control thus becomes a pleasure.
The focus is incredibly fast and accurate with good lighting. Excellent. Once the ambient light is poor, the focus so manchesmal effort to find the target quickly but is now still faster than most competitors. For snapshots, the camera in good light so is absolutely suitable only conditionally in lower light. Speaking of dim light: From ISO 800 capture the images very clearly to rustle, which it should have done anyway, to want to make fast-moving images in low light. Since the stand is then more likely to demand or to work with ISO 400 or less lightning. Too bad, but this is apparently due to the relatively small sensor.
There is even the possibility of triggering the camera completely silently perform very well and compared to the other system cameras in many situations, a real asset. The whopping smacking the shutter like it usually but then better.
The picture quality is superior to ISO 400 doubt. It has managed to Nikon, for 1V1 still go up a gear and to improve image quality. The images are sharp, the colors in the default fairly neutral (but there is the possibility here to the smallest detail to make changes).
The Double Zoom Kit one buys a camera that makes them very fast, good pictures and also offers the possibility to manually adjust and adapt this almost intuitively without great effort and after a short training a lot of attitude.
The camera together with lenses is small and light and can thus even with two lenses, a constant companion to be applied without thick. For this, there are beautiful small photo bags that do not attract attention.
Special features such as GPS, folding screen, touch screen or WLAN are not on board with the 1V2. I do not miss this one as well, since this model focuses on the essentials: good pictures.
I am pleased that Nikon has apparently taken the criticism to heart and has implemented 1V1 to 1V2 with significant improvements in handling. Also, the camera must be kept now significantly better in the hand like it very much.
Due to the weak performance in bad light, there is a deduction of points to stay 4 *.
