The weight incl. Bag is just over 1500 grams, making it go quite ok.
Installed is a ball head, which runs around neatly and without loops and can be locked well. A Nikon D7000 with Sigma 120-400 considers this head of loosely.
The tripod legs can be exhibited in two angles; Set can be the jew. over a metal roller lever on the upper leg approach.
These legs have jew four segments. the lowest are quite thin.
The center column can undress and fix by clamping screw.
When extended, the lens reaches a height of about 120 cm, is then but a bit unstable in high winds and then, of course, especially at slow shutter speeds.
I prefer to have retracted the bottom leg segments and not extend the center column. For example, while reducing the amount at about 90 cm, but the stability to win huge!
Why do I now draw in this tripod from a point?
- The legs have only fine rubber feet; in this price range I would also want to use steel spikes, to cover all types of terrain can.
- The handling of the complete folding of the tripod is relatively cumbersome, since the central column must be fully extended and then the legs must be folded down completely.
- Stowing the folded stand in the supplied, extremely tight bag is "fiddly"; man has the ball head at a certain angle between the folded legs bring, then it works.
But since I already just outside attach the tripod without the bag Photo backpack, which is not very important for me.
Conclusion: Nice, stable, compact tripod on the go, which also features a DSLR including larger lens endures.
In extreme terrain and / or very heavy equipment is, however, eventually overwhelmed.
