As I have the Benq W1070 then obtained, I tested regardless of whether I "allergic" react to the rainbow effect or in other words whether I can see this. I, friends and family could not see the rainbow effect. The projector does not look cheap and is high-quality for my taste.
So I set to work, and installed this with a ceiling mount (225mm). You have to pay attention showing the lens center exactly on the center of the screen width, otherwise it can happen that you get a picture uneaten. (In my case 224 divided by 2 + Distance from frame screen to the wall) So I measure from the wall to the center of the screen and then. From the wall for the projector lens center This should be done best in pairs because it is very difficult otherwise, so anyone can measure and maintain the projector. I have a distance from projector to my frame canvas of 280 cm and my canvas is 224 wide x 125 cm high. With a ceiling mount of 22.5 cm and almost full lens shift I'm on top of a picture of about 40 cm. (Distance from the ceiling to the image beginning). The lens shift is the attitude with which one the image up and down control can, via a screw on the projector. The lens shift is indeed very limited but enough for me, after all, there is a lens shift usually only on more expensive projectors, so here is a clear advantage over other projectors of Benq in the price range.
The focus and the zoom are light and fine-tune, you get so in seconds a very sharp image.
I was right the test surprised at the superior image quality, because my HD plasma looks old compared from. The colors are very natural and alive, the contrast is also very good and sharp as a Full HDTV. The black level is also perfectly fine with brighter scenes this takes a bit off but this is not bad in my eyes. I have in addition to my Rahmenleinwand still 2 masking strip for the top and bottom black bars in 21: 9 movies built that enhances the image quality tremendously. One should when it comes to darken completely the room, the only way to get the best results, the image is indeed in brighter rooms also acceptable but the overall picture impression then takes it off tremendously, I would watch only in a dark room, anything like I personally do not. So it should be indeed actually in the home theater. Advantage are also slightly darker wallpaper or wall paint, because white reflects the light back. I have with me a rather mat wallpaper in dark orange / terracotta which the radiating light of the canvas absorbs well and does not reflect or hardly.
The projector provides many settings, this one would list all blow up the review. However, I must say that the projector of work was set perfectly for me, I have not changed the picture settings. The first thing I immediately turned off the beep when turning on / off, this had bothered me.
Many say that the fan noise is too loud, I must say that it is with me not, because my PC is even louder, this is not just loud.
In quiet scenes of the fan can be heard something but not worth mentioning, that bothers me not, and I'll take it when movies do not look true. I personally have not tried the 3D function, but I will also test soon, and then add the review. Dust problems in the lens there is not with me also.
I have the projector also set equal to Eco mode, which increases the lamp life and reduces the light output as well as not to hardly noticeable.
Perhaps important for some still wish to use a long HDMI cable. I have a 10 meter HDMI cable from my home theater system (Blu Ray) to the projector and a 12.5 meter cable connected with me from the PC to the projector, there are no loss of quality, connection problems or disconnections.
Positives:
- Strong vivid colors

- Good contrast
- Lens Shift
- Easy Zoom and Focus
Negatives:
- Not
Should something stand out negative I'm going to edit the review.
I've added a few pictures, unfortunately the quality is not as good, more is not my camera ago, the picture looks in reality, of course, much better.
