Never so obsessed consistently good and sophisticated charger!

Because me a charger for my variety of AA and AAA batteries in Eneloop technology to be mostly just, I decided to compare additionally abundant for this volt power Charge Manager 420. This time not on Amazon, but from Conrad Elektronik.
Previously had the Ansmann Power Pro 4, which is not well thought struck me in some areas, in the operation to "fiddly", and much too small in size to the LCD display. Meanwhile, I use only this charger, as it guarantees the best possible use of my battery without any weakness.
So much in advance: It concerns with this charger to mature, sophisticated Micro technology with the best possible for the usual round cell batteries Chargers. The choices of the charging programs and settings are currently in this price class.
Even if the price seems a little high at first glance, it is absolutely justified in terms of the above features a high extent, the intelligent microprocessor-controlled charging control and the rather large illuminated display. There are many chargers with LCD display on the market. Once you have realized the opportunities for comparison of different devices (like me) would like to no longer miss these loaders.
The display shows at a glance the current status as a rough representation and, if desired, parameters in detail as discharge, added total time (exemplary), voltage etc. separately query using one of the arrow keys to each charging slot. The lighting remains continuously on while charging. Should no details be desired only the most essential status displays per slot are displayed at a glance. Otherwise can be easily switched by the arrow keys for more details by the active charging bays. The final selection will remain active.
When charging is complete the batch manager switches to power-saving mode with display off, so that no measurable power consumption longer takes place.
The large control buttons operate cleanly and precisely with positive click action.
After a power failure all the data stored until then, even program settings are deleted and the default program batch starts at 500mA charging current. A converting the batch manager 420 during the program sequence as to a different outlet or into another room is not possible without complete demolition.
This is not as great as I find solved and the only slight downside. These mentions must be very few charging stations this price range have a "memory" during a power failure.
The included AC adapter has a sufficiently long power cord so that the appliance can still be operated well at elevated place and low-mounted socket. An additional green power LED on the power supply is present. On a charger USB port as a charging output for mobile devices available, as well as the possibility to connect a suitable 12 volt vehicle power cable with about 20 watts of power for mobile use.
In charge of an external device via the USB charging output with max. 0.5 Ah means not enclosed USB connection cable is to be noted that no simultaneous treatment of batteries in the charger is unfortunately possible.
The manual describes all you need to know features, options, equipment, etc. in my opinion in detail and especially in German in the first pages.
Unfortunately I can not say that about the screen presentation. Here the issue of the abbreviations are generally in English. For sold in Germany for German customers equipment that is not generally acceptable.
Vorzuheben to about comparable chargers from other manufacturers, the maximum charging current of 2000mA for each charging bay for suitable batteries such as Eneloop AA etc. Unfortunately, my selectable degrees of charging currents of 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 mA are too coarse. The discharge currents are set 250 and 500mA, with the very high charging currents from 1000mA, as noted above, are more suitable for high-capacity batteries or the robust white Eneloops and comparable.
Empty batteries are, if it then depends on speed, depending on the pre-selected in 1.1 hours or charge faster.
The temperature of this charger with high charging current of charged me Mignon XX Enleoop (black) was acceptable 43 degrees at the end of charging.
Very convenient:
Without further delay parameters as charge current or charge program charging current is charged in the standard loader with 500mA. These are the charging currents where relatively acceptable loading times with gentle battery treatment in the long term are possible for most battery types without great as thought: must be suitable for this battery, or not suitable to make.
Inserting and finished batteries. The rest is fully automatic, and reliable shutdown of cargo with full battery (either way) guaranteed. After this is done "on demand" a trickle charge named with Trickle.
If the charger initially not fully stocked with batteries and with a specific individual loader, other charge, - activated and discharge, loading later adventitious batteries takes place without manual intervention with the previously set parameters of the previous charging slot.
To read the "real" existing discharge capacity for the first time or occasionally, I use the program cycle. At a set of me charging current of only 500mA, this program takes completely min. 13.5 hours !! But that is all chargers charging, - Entladestrombedingt similar. Should more be used overnight if it does not depend on fast reuse of batteries.
Unlike check (testing) is only fully charged in "Cycle" unload the real capacitance measurement and then fully charged again. The "check" I have not been able to sufficiently test, but discharges at the beginning (even if the battery is already empty) vollzuladen to the port. This may not be well suited for determining the capacity of discharge!
In my previous experience with daily charge with this device all too deeply discharged batteries were accidentally (which unfortunately occurs more frequently than desired) always detected and loaded correctly. For this, the corresponding charging compartment without further operation is continued with current pulses to treat the batteries enough energy for a reulären charging has. Perfect!
Here therefore is not cumbersome summons the deep discharged batteries in a "simple" charger possible to launch this normal charging to!
Wider details real capacity determination, Alive (Revive), Cycle (cycle) or Discharge (only unloading), which is recommended at most at old Ni / Cd batteries for Vermeiduung of ausgeprögten memory effect, then more technically interested or overcautious battery users remain reserved.
It can be concluded from the data and facilities of a suitable for many years top charger to possess. I know to adequately research and decades of use of chargers is no better than the batch manager 420 for these types of batteries. Here is
