PicoPix 3614 at a glance:
+ Image quality (from about 2.5 spacing)
+ Operating noise (probably the best in its class, at least according to information provided by a beamer Store)
+ Weight (285g)
+ Quality of the internal speaker for this size good but
o performance of the speaker only 1W: relatively quiet - external speaker for music videos recommended.
+ Versatility (WiFi options: network, peer to peer / Various Apps / Various media: HDMI, USB, SD card)
+ Additional external battery source can be used via USB.
- Buttons not lit, but
+ By an app (PicoPix), the smartphone / tablet used as a remote control.
+ Direct wireless transmission from the iPad / Tablet for Beamer (images / jpg and video / mp4) via App Mediahouse or iMediaShare.
+ The service was easily accessible and answered both oral as well as written (after a few days) my questions
I should point out that I am using the projector at a distance to 2.50m from the screen for smaller groups again. For an entire auditorium will be so unlikely to meet. Larger distances but I have not tested. From a beamer Store I heard several times that a video projector with 100 to 200 lumens is really just a toy (one would need at least 1,000 lumens), which I can not confirm my application.
To also available Model 3610 with 100 lumens, I found the difference to 3614 with 140 lumens unmemorable.
Wishlist for PicoPix 3614:
1. It should besides movies and photos also be possible to transfer pdf files Wireless
2. It would be nice if I use my Bluetooth speaker directly, that could connect to the projector wirelessly.
3. Possibly, it would also make sense that he can absspielen TIFF image files and M4V video files internally as the 3410th
Differences of minor PicoPix 3410 compared with the 3614
+ Operating buttons are lit during 3410th
+ Can internally m4v video files and TIFF images play (mp4 video and jpg images can both).
+ The color saturation can be changed during 3410 via the menu, the 3614 it should be possible during playback.
- No wireless transmission possible during 3410, for 100 .-- cheaper.
Recommended Accessories for PicoPix 3614:
An external box with batch function, such as the JBL batch or the Sony SRS X5 (see my review). Both are also visually very good for PicoPix 3614, I think.
Please note:
The app PicoPix of Philip for the Tablet / iPad is only a remote control, it is not used for data transmission, but it requires the app Media House (Android) or iMediaShare for Apple devices! I spent hours looking for it!
SUPPLEMENTARY 12:11:14: In a direct comparison with the 3610 (only difference: 100 vs. 140 lumens) is a black area at 3610 really black. When light stronger 3614 it is gray. The white balance seems tuned slightly warmer during 3610. I had now compared two 3614 and have yet opted for the slightly more favorable 3610 because I could not notice the 40 lumens more light when 3614.
Photo Notes:
Unlike the smaller 3410 the switch on and off at 3614 on a software controlled directly because the nondescript reset button in the image (I got from the service) if the 3614 once hangs. Another picture shows the size comparison Sony SRS X5 Box, JBL batch (1) box and PicoPix 3614th
