The pump is indeed in diameter for a sand filter not very big, but does have a certain height, as you can imagine on the product images as well.

In operation, the pump is extremely silent and no longer be heard in 10 meters distance. Even in the immediate vicinity you can hear only a very low operating noise, no comparison with our garden pump, for example. The pumping power is neat and particularly for small pools more than adequate - it creates 2 square meters of water per hour to circulate.
The pump was through the extensive range of accessories (alone sockets for connection costs at Intex a fortune) not that much more expensive than a cartridge filter and convinces with a barely perceptible noise level at more than sufficient pumping power during operation. Connection and operation give no mystery, so that I would buy the pump again and can recommend it without hesitation.
