Unlike previous works, acts "Hymn to the Immortal Wind" less destructive, harmon safe and does not result in the gloom of operations albums. Nevertheless, was so known for Mono, largely retained the style, only the melodies act now militant and reconciled. Unceasingly drives the percussion at the shimmering guitars that spiral upwards into the air, and then fall down like rain. New are the strings that are usually float around pleasantly low-key, without consciously force themselves into the foreground. Yet it is precisely these classic elements that you might perceive entirely only after repeated listening, make the difference here to Monos early works. A change that is a major triumph as the entire album.
Always is the anger and tenderness in the instruments to hear, "Hymn to the Immortal Wind" give the character of a symphony, an orchestral destiny work that does not manage to fall into kitsch or theatrical, but always keep the balance between bombast and plainness know. A special commendation there also for the cover and booklet design.
It should be noted that Mono have placed over backward. They act musically less impetuous, but more diverse and more melodic than ever. During follow-up album "For My Parents" is the plan, in my opinion, no longer quite as good at, maybe because they have a little spent with "HTTIW", but in a rare beautiful way.
