Unfortunately, the comparison with the Animal Crossing were probably too concise. Many fans of the series have expected Tomodachi Life would be similar to Animal Crossing. But this is not so. Both games share rather only slight similarities. A real control you have namely not even about his own likeness in Tomodachi Life. But the constant comparisons to Tamagotchi cult do not fit in Tomodachi Life. It's true, you can feed his Mii's and buy them something new to wear or to set up your apartment, but it was then already with the common (I think that you can dress with the Tamagotchi save). A Mii starved not if you do not feed or lonely if you neglect him him. It's much more like the Sims. As a creator of his own world one has to strengthen the relations of the hotel residents with each other. This creates good friendships, dislikes, or love relationships. You can even get married and bear children.
All this is packed into an idea that is already almost 30 years old. Because even in the days of the NES, there was Shigeru Miyamoto from initial concepts to the Mii's. However, he could never make his superiors this idea palatable, because Miyamoto never knew how you could probably pack these abstract figures in a complete game.
As it has the Mii finally made it to the Wii, the road was paved. Meanwhile, Nintendo has created with the Mii's a cult and they, now integrated after a period of idleness in many titles and have become an important part of Miiverse. And you count Wii Sports Just looking to have the small likenesses with Tomodachi Life now even their second own game.
But how does it look with the long-term motivation? Many reviews on Amazon throw just before the stake, little to no long-term motivation. However, speaking from these reviewers probably the Animal Crossing frustration. Tomodachi Life is not made to play it for several hours at a stretch. Especially at night is on the island very little going on (The game runs in real time, but there are among the inhabitants nocturnal). Tomodachi Life is meant to enjoy it in small sessions. Before going to bed, it is immensely relaxing yet to take a look at the island and its inhabitants. Of course, even the most surreal humor something that you have to make friends either, or something that you could smile before. Tomodachi Life takes second to none seriously, and yet it is in many respects the absurdities of real life the same. This is especially true for the most surreal dreams of the inhabitants.
Anyone who has completely removed his island after a day, and then not know what to do, who also has the gameplay is not really understood, or, more likely, you simply noticed the Tomodachi Life is different. The player assumes the role of Big Brother. It is practically a voyeur. Man spying in the rooms of the hotel residents. You look at them in their activities. Whether a walk in the park or a piece of cake in the cafe, as a Big Brother of the island you're everywhere. The whole point of the game, however, is to build its own soap opera. With the QR codes that easily scans the 3DS on the camera, it is possible to pair King Leonidas with Sailor Venus. But the imagination has no limits, because you can copy as many Mii's or create yourself and move into the apartment let (even the building changed, move the more residents. Where the limit is, I still can not say when I currently live 30 Mii's).
The only criticism, and here I go actually times with some reviewers with, some events are repeated a bit too often. But this is rather a minor complaint, because every day in the world of Tomodachi Life differs from the previous one. For an upcoming sequel but Nintendo must be more creative in this respect. Even a little more interaction would be much appreciated.
Conclusion
Tomodachi Life is and will remain a special game. Anyone who can not enjoy the game after 20 minutes, it is not even after 20 hours. If you have but befriended with this loving and quirky world, you will be plugging the module in its long 3DS. Who but here expected a game in the style of Jurassic Park, is likely to be very disappointed. All these players should prefer to wait for the next hammer of Level 5, which finally appears in autumn in the West: Fantasy Life.
