The monitor attached to an ATI HD5770, but is mainly office work and rarely movie playback or games.
Positives:
(1) price, no other monitor in this price range could offer what the G2420HDBL offers
(2) illumination and contrast are optimal for office work, thinking here plays the LED backlight a large role
(3) power consumption is 100% brightness at nachgemessenen 23 Watt
(4) processing is also quite sufficient
(5) appearance was not so important, but I find him very handsomely on my desk :-)
(6) color reproduction is also very good for a TN panel, can not understand other reviews and go at this from a defective device. Did my digital photos a Nikon D60 considered it and the colors look very natural. For a professional image editing I would still not use a TN panel, since the color space is simply limited.
(7) Viewing angle is also quite good. Bin of my old Viewsonic much worse accustomed. It is no problem with more work on the monitor.
Negatives:
Difficult for me here what to see if you remain realistic and remember that the monitor will cost just under 200. Other panel (no TN panel) costs directly multiples. Processing of the stand would occur to me here as a point of criticism, which * could * be heavier and more stable. If the monitor would be horizontally pivotable, then he would be absolutely perfect for the price range ;-) Some like about the lack of HDMI input complain, but even then there are matching HDMI-DVI cable to purchase for little money. However, the question whether a HDMI input would have been more useful than an old VGA input. In addition, there was no DVI cable while but a VGA cable. Was no problem for me, the cable from the old, defective TFT've used. When informed beforehand, one knows this also and ordered if necessary a DVI cable to then the TFT is still cheaper than other similar TFTs with DVI cable included, so for me no gripe (although I wanted it to be fair mention)
