After 6 years Zumo 550 had now over here something new. Since I had been in one way or another tour to do with the models of TomTom I was wanting safe again to buy a Garmin Zumo. The new device was naturally first bit strange to use when coming from the Zumo 550. But I just got used to it quickly. What was new for me, is the App Smartphone Link for the mobile phone. This I feel much better than laying the TMC antenna for car and motorcycle. The app offers additional functions, the following features are included: parking position, Favorites, Recently, search contacts, browse Foursquare, select position, Weather (Pro version 5.49 for Liftimeupdate), live traffic information, safety camera (19.99 for Lifetime Update ), a parking space (Pro version 5.49 for Lifetime Update). All these features to work with my Kobination Zumo 590 and Samsung Galaxy S3 easily. Both the coupling via Bluetooth to the Zumo 590 and the subsequent coupling with my AKE Helmet Set NG (Bluetooth headset) went without problems. On some boards ([...]) are reported compatibility issues with older headset's, I can use all the features of my Zumo's and this without problems! All in all, I regret the switch to the 590 in any way and can recommend it for now 2500km motorbike wholeheartedly. The other connectivity options of air pressure sensors for the wheels and connecting a virB camera I have not been tested and therefore can not report on it.
Edit 08/08/2014: On request runs since 09:00 clock a test how long the Zumo 590 by holding with switched background lighting. After about 4.5 hours, he gave up.
