Blu-Ray burner ideal for back-up and burning

Since I always mistrust due to negative experiences of durability of self-burnt CDs, DVDs or Blu-Rays, I was looking for a burner, which stores the data of the baked by me on a commercial Blu-Ray Recorder Blu-Ray's on an external hard drive and me as the gives opportunity to the case of a defective Blu-Ray again burn this data to BD. The Asus burner will satisfy this requirement perfectly.
I have a computer with AMD Athlon 64x2, 4400+, 2300 MHz and only 2GB of RAM, Windows XP and USB 2.0. The computer is almost 5 years old and thus "completely obsolete". Nevertheless, I can achieve very good results with the burner.
The burner (USB 3.0) is immediately recognized and the installation of the bundled software is running without problems. The accompanying burning software Power2Go is strongly reminiscent of old versions of Nero and sufficient for burning completely. The storage of the BD data to disk is fast, and the burning time of about 30 minutes at 20 GB on my "old cucumber" you can certainly be satisfied.
The remaining programs CyberLink suite I have not yet taken a closer look and can also make any statements except that the playing of burned films works both on the PC and on the BD recorder without problems.

Finally, a point of criticism. The burner is probably "stylish" look. It may be divided on appearance, but the "design" of the circuit closer to the burner is messed up, since this can only be operated with a fingernail. Needless, to my mind, the ability to operate the burner vertically; in a horizontal position can be the BDs introduce lighter, the burner is safe and the drive runs safer (Installing the burner while the drive is running the way leads to ugly scratching noises, so refrain from better!)
But these are only minor compared to the qualities that certainly has this burner. Therefore, full 5 points.

Supplement 21:12. 2014:
Due to some demands: the burner runs properly on Windows 8.1. Here ASUS offers an update that is also being reported that the burners of Windows 8.1 is detected even without update immediately.
I have a free update for safety's sake installed anyway and am satisfied. The burner is burning himself with the simple burning program, which offers 8.1, however, the burning process takes about 60 minutes at 20 GB (!) An upgrade of the software supplied with the Boilers Power2Go to version 9 provides a remedy. The pure burning process is then for 20GB for about 20 minutes.
Conclusion: even with a change of operating system from Windows XP to Windows 8.1, the burner does not have to be scrapped. That speaks for the device. After almost two years of experience, I can still recommend the burner.
