Bluetooth Audio Adapter

The TaoTronics Bluetooth audio adapter (receiver) is supplied with a USB cable, an audio cable and an RCA cable. The cables are quite short, but enough for me. Attached is also a guide in several languages. The German operation is explained on pages 11 to 21 very well. There are some spelling mistakes eg lisa instead purple in it, but it is simple and understandable written and because mistakes do not matter. Overall, this is a great package.

The adapter is black with a matte finish. The unit looks classy and well finished. But you can see the fingerprints when the light it shines sideways. So from optical and technical reasons, it avoids the adapter direct light exposing. All connections are well labeled and distinguished even color for the RCA connectors. With the small feet of the adapter has a maximum support and not wobble.

When infecting the USB cable, a red light until the adapter is charged. When the device is fully charged, the red light goes out. That took me almost 30 minutes but is so last about 2 hours. The first time is recommended in the manual, to leave the appliance load 4 hours. The long load times are not really necessary, but let it rather longer to load when you go what you want to do with it.
You can load the adapter with a PC / laptop or with a connector (for example, from an iPhone charger cable) and on the outlet. It also goes through an external battery charger.

If you press the on / off button or the multifunction button and holding down for a few seconds, it briefly lights up in a bright purple (red and blue at the same time). It does so when switched on and off. After turning the adapter is in pairing mode and lights up red and blue alternately. If the pairing is completed, you can select the adapter in the smartphone under Bluetooth. It is already visible during the coupling.
In standby, the LED will flash red rapidly. Standby can also be reached through the holding down of the button, but it also comes automatically if you do not use the device. When the music receiver is connected to the Bluetooth, it lights up every 9 seconds red (flashes twice). If you do not use the device and any Bluetooth connection is made, uses the standby mode and then the device switches also completely out.

The device has a range of about 10-12 meters, are guaranteed 10 meters. In practice, it can be more. You can connect multiple devices according to instruction with each other. I have not tried that. There are also useful tips for the care, maintenance and technical problems in the manual.

The sound could indeed be better, but is quite good for the small device and the price.
The adapter is recommended and an affordable alternative to a SoundStation / docking station, if you are not so much respects from the design.
