I bought this lens a year ago (at the local photo shop and not in Amazon). It was not often used, but I was very satisfied so far. But when I opened the box today I stopped suddenly two parts in his hand! A closer look showed that one of the small plastic hooks that hold the lens inside apparently together, is canceled. The lens was wrapped even in bubble wrap and was treated very carefully by me! Even though it was very cheap, I expect that it does not fall apart! Apparently was probably produced here too cheap. Big minus for Canon!
