Light:
Bluish, slightly violet white, very bright, very focused. From 4.00 m only about 70-80 cm cone of light on a vertical wall. Outside still about 10 cm narrower circle of light with about 4.00 m diameter which is however seen only when really dark places.
Very good, that is well seen by the side of wide outs also partial traffic. However, due to the design, you can not see its own light, as long as one does not prevent far forward or to the side. In a brightly lit city where the own cone of light usually goes down so it's a little strange, not being able to recognize from a normal seat position if the lamp is still burning or not. Remedy: A tiny drop of glue in the "corner of my eye" the lamp. In it breaks some light and can be controlled from the rear.
Lighting period:
with 2x 2100 mAh Aldi batteries:
about 10 hrs. very bright light,
approx. 12 hours well-visible light,
To be seen to some extent about 08 hours.
The Lamp:
Light from a single 0.5 Watt LED. Equipped with 2x AA batteries / accumulators, on twist-off head lamp, tool is not necessary. The on-off switch at the top of the luminaire is to be operated only with "pointed fingers", but has thus the great advantage that the lamp during transport never really turns unintentionally. First mode is flashing, then only permanent light, then back out.
Stress Tests:
Many rides in pouring rain - lamp is tight.
Fall from 1,00 m height - lamp remains undamaged.
Holder:
Mechanism as the quick release: Around screws + lever.
Overall quite delicate, but absolutely for the small, pretty light bulb sufficient. Good fit of the lamp, and on the trail no slack.
Compared to the Smart Polaris5 (3x LED):
Light much brighter, but also closely focused than in the Polaris5. Minimal thicker overall impression of high quality.
Conclusion:
Currently, one of the brightest 2x AA lights! Also of lateral transport you will be well perceived. Very good workmanship at a fair price. Lighting could be a bit wider. Nevertheless, full 5 stars because there is in this size from the P / L ratio is currently nothing like it!
