East of Eden is a film like no other. Topping the list of things that make the movie so great, of course, is James Dean, the best actor and most handsome man there ever was. The role of the unfortunate Cal, who longs for love, especially from his father, he plays so charming and persuasive that you can fully immerse themselves in the film and the emotions of the characters. Elia Kazan, the director is said to have said about Dean, "My God, it is Cal!" I think that says it all about the grandiose appearance of James Dean in this movie. Yet for all the enthusiasm about Dean must not forget also the other actors. Also, they are in their roles incomparably well, Cal's and Aaron's mother took home an Oscar for her performance even one. The performer of Aaron creates the extremely difficult tightrope walk between the transition from the perfect son-in for tragic, loopy figure - and convinces completely. The Abra, only fiancee of Aaron, then girlfriend of Cal, plays extremely well. Although the German dubbing voice is very, very cheesy and over the top, but one imagines her performance without sound before it is finished acting. Yeah, and the father ... my humble opinion he had the "simple" role in the play, although this was also really challenging. But mostly it is easier to play a rather one-sided, always virtuous, faithful Bible character, as almost split personalities, like the other actors. But he also seems to be made and played absolutely wonderful for this role. Well, the film is, however, with James Dean and falls, is likely to become quite clear. Alone that's why it pays to have seen East of Eden. If one Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise alongside James Dean as Cal in this classic, is a lot of it had only become aware of how many people, actors, singers, etc. Jimmy Dean has influenced and as formative for his generation after him. Check out this film on, back often, it is just wonderful and a must for every movie buff. Thumbs up and a hundred rubber points! :)
