Why such a drastic words?
I have been working for some time as a professional wedding photographer and had myself in a moment of madness to buy two of these "value-for-miracles" carried away, rather than continuing to rely on well-known quality brands. Brief summary of what happened:
Spieherkarte No. 1 was used in a full-day report of a customer wedding and was then for some unknown reason (heat, dirt or shock I can exclude) faulty. The data could be saved only by physical intervention by a specialist laboratory. Cost of which were in the mid three-digit area!
To have faith in the previous card of the proverbial 0.01 percent caught - -. Memory Card No. 2 I put a few days later in another shooting a customer, for which it had previously work properly. The map showed the second use of the same defect and data recovery cost me again several hundred euros.
Reaction of Transcend customer service on my problem description: The problem is known to them, however, occurs only occasionally (I believe you!) - But they refuse but actually my least to refund the purchase price of a few days old memory card - let alone the 1,000 Euro for the necessary data recovery.
Certainly makes my case an absolute exception - at least I found it difficult to find more victims - but the reaction of the customer service sealed the clear conclusion for me:
NEVER AGAIN TRANSCEND!
Please do yourself a favor and stay away from these data destruction machine! If you only need a reliable approach in the storage medium unfortunately remains just going to the more expensive competitors ...
