Well.
I have used on all my computers for years AVG free and was actually very happy.
After I was startled in the last (usage) time by some, comprehensible false positives, of course waned satisfaction.
So I switched to Symantec Endpoint Protection and was very satisfied so far.
Now I have read in some tests that this Kapersky Total Security less affected the performance of the computer as this is the case with Symantec (I actually do have many a time such as annoying "endurance tests" of the hard disk perceived).
Although I definitely a high-end computer use that was to order the Kaspersky for me as a "power hungry" basic genung.
Thank God the Symantec uninstall read (contrary to previous experience) problems again.
So I have the Kaspersky Total Security installed and was then initially only slightly disappointed, here is my experience:
The installation went smoothly, but in this case I was the same a little surprised about the subsequent update rate via the Kaspersky server - so slow I have rarely experienced.
Even with several update passages (on different days) the same picture; always relatively slow (compared to AVG and Symantec), especially when you contrast sets the downloaded file sizes.
Well, however, is, as is often automatically updated in the background (several times a day).
The review of the computer.
The rapid investigation really goes relatively quickly (36 seconds).
The Full Scan takes an eternity felt (real 42 minutes for approximately 1,800,000 files)
Very interesting; at 88% of the passage remains an estimated duration of 1 minute - unfortunately requires the Kaspersky for one minute more than 20 minutes real.
For me the main criterion, however, is the performance.
Although presented differently in tests is the subjective perception that the Kaspersky the "Browser activity" affects more than is the case with Symantec.
Annoying also that for example not be deactivate in Firefox the individual modules in the extensions although supposedly possible example of secure payments or the virtual keyboard.
In Chrome, all modules are summarized in an expansion and thus also not be deactivated individually.
Chrome is acting with me as a browser in conjunction with Total Security the way the fastest.
Accessing the external content (images) in e-mails (Outlook and Thunderbird) also takes noticeably longer than with my previous protection programs.
The boot time of the computer has not changed compared to Symantec (here was always AVG fastest) but the network connection takes with Kaspersky now a few seconds longer.
So in terms of performance my expectations are not met.
Of course, one must keep in mind that the Kaspersky Total Security offers a very wide range of functions and the claims are different, of course.
Conclusion:
Of the protective functions the Kaspersky Total Security 2015 Multi-Device is an impressive package.
Whether you really need all the features must each decide for themselves.
My expectations of the (significant) performance were not met.
Still recommended!
