Advantages of the adapter:
+ With the adapter, the full resolution is possible, although this is limited in the specification to 1080p.
+ Sound may also be transferred.
Disadvantages:
- Specifically the MacBook Pro it is not possible due to the size of the adapter, at the same time to use the adjacent USB and Firewire ports.
- The adapter is somewhat sensitive to vibration or contact. The signal stops short.
- The adapter is, compared to a cable, relatively rigid and long, so it is in my opinion not really suitable for laptops.
From a processing perspective, the part corresponding to the price, but was acceptable for me.
