Actually, I was just looking for a good second unit with dual SIM function and had me there, because I as a die-hard Android users was nevertheless curious about Windows Phone purchased before 2 months before the Lumia 530.
I liked that so much that I thought: still a decent display and it's the perfect phone!
Hardly desired, already fulfilled:
>>>>> Nokia Lumia 730!
Equipment;
The already very simple, dialog-driven establishment of Windows Phones this time was really just a no-brainer, because the configuration of my existing Lumia 530 has been pre-loaded and displayed at my request directly from the cloud on my Lumia 730. So I saved me a lot of installation and Konfiguarationsaufwand. Everything depends on an almost fully automatic.
Design / Overall impression:
The device is unobtrusive chic (flat bars), excellent workmanship, high-performance and shines with its high-definition OLED display!
The colorful Nokia exchangeable shells I find well rather silly! Therefore, I have also taken the dark gray model.
The operating system Windows Phone 8.1 (here already in version "Denim") is stable, mittleweile mature, striking power saving and very ergonomic!
Everything works reliably. I do not have a bug found.
The voice quality and battery life of mobile phones are good.
The dual SIM implementation is in my opinion also very well done.
Display:
The OLED display has great contrasts and is excellent to read in bright environments. Black is here absolutely (!) Black. The colors are strong (have even the saturation slightly postponed).
The small HD Aufläsung to 4.7 ", the display is also sharp.
Camera:
The built-in cameras to make good pictures from the state, which - as in fact the whole unit - can fit into the upper Mttelklasse.
The main camera on the back has a resolution of 7 Megapixels.
Nearly a unique selling point is the resolution with a proud 5 megapixels front camera with wide angle.
Microsoft advertises the Lumia 730 therefore indeed as Selfie smartphone.
If you like, for example, the phone through Skype to image, will also benefit from the good front camera.
Too bad that Nokia / Microsoft has saved the extra hardware camera button in the new middle-class devices.
Performance and Windows Phone 8.1:
But in particular surprised me the overall performance of the system in everyday life and the high ergonomics of the Windows Phone interface. At this point I'm really excited. Everything is absolutely smooth and self-explanatory.
This Microsoft operating system obviously makes everything right this time. If you do not really accustomed ;-)
While I still have problems today, if someone hands me an iPhone or an iPad in hand, I was on Windows Phone 8.1. along immediately found. A colleague, who had already tried 18 months ago times on a Windows Smartphone, confirmed to me the enormous progress that had made since the operating system.
For Android Migrators:
The Google account with addresses, appointments, etc. can be integrated natively in Windows Phone and the entries are then also in the Windows apps on the phone is available and can be edited.
I use my Google Account now so without restriction on my Android and Windows devices across more as a main account for dates and addresses.
Apps:
I was amazed in September set up the Lumia 530 that were available as Windows versions in the App Store such a large amount of Android Apps usual, so I really have put a lot more functionality to the phone now, as previously intended.
Actually, everything is available. Sometimes you just get the desired function only through a different app than Android. But you get them. Also threema is already yes on the march (beta test). And with "denim" is now available for VPN connections (important for public W-LAN) integrates the L2TP protocol.
Extras:
There are also completely new features that I do not qualify as of Android. For example, today came early in the car to a SMS. Suddenly, the music playback interrupted by the radio and the phone offered me via voice dialogue at controlled to read the SMS.
For voice control is now even more usefully supplemented by new voice features of the phone in my car.
Conclusion:
So double surprise: very good device and really good operating system. Courage to Windows Phone !!!
Absolute recommendation, not only as a beginner or a secondary device! The part you can live very well!
PS. Amazon has sold me the phone for 193 EUR. That in itself is a hammer.
But the regular 279 EUR are for what is offered a fair price!
