Although I had this mode fortunately not yet use, but do not expect of course that this, in the case of the case, also works as promised. And without tricks.
For Bosch, I have decided,
I there most likely believed that to get a quality product, which is also (very important!) properly handle my on-board electronics. That alone was worth the relatively high price.
Compared to the cheaper C3,
invites the C7 also briefly completely discharged batteries to (at least that is promised) again brings 7A twice the charge current (ie half load) and has the so-called "power mode", which means you, the device can theoretically power supply (13.6V, Use 5A).
The packaging
is purely a sales package, not really suitable to keep the unit permanently in shame.
For this, a wall bracket is included,
the three screws (not included) would be to fix. While this makes a good impression and is amazingly fit, but my opinion is for the occasional personal use of the device rather unnecessary.
Operating Instructions:
rather unwieldy since housed on 252 pages, 21 national languages. I do not like it.
Some formulations suggest that the origin of language is not German. Example in German: "If you then make any further process ....". And in English: "If no further action is taken ...."
The actual operation of the C7
I find it good. This is so intuitive that it is best equal sets aside the thick manual.
The lengths of the connecting cables (the cables almost 2m long) are ok for me.
The protection is lt. Imprint IP65, so would also be of use in the rain no problem. Good!
However, the visibility of the LEDs located under the front protective film, not so great:
should be given for the green LEDs are, in a bright environment, look very closely.
There are radio protection, reverse polarity protection, thermal protection, etc., and the plus-charging cable has a waterproof fuse box with a 10A standard car fuse. As you can hopefully do anything wrong.
Weakness and scandal, in my view:
the charging cable is not just firmly connected to the load terminals ("Pol-Quick contact terminals"), but the charging cable have at their ends eyelets.
These must be fixed per Rändelschräubchen at the terminals, which are loose in the first package.
Unfortunately this design is not my opinion compatible with the expected Bosch quality and the product price:
Me, you are the clamping mechanism, the isolation and the eyelets, mechanically each other's way.
Pressing the spring clamps loosen the thumbscrew.
Of course, you can then re-tighten, but I do not want, is, in my view, botch and leads to the devaluation!
Probably again well thought and done poorly:
Eyelets an alternative to the terminal connection would be (eg in the power supply mode) yes only not bad, but the idea is in my opinion poorly implemented:
where Bosch is it that needs to be better!
The unit is "Made in China" (PRC).
In principle not say anything bad, but a criterion for assessing the price / performance ratio
By the way:
possibly the new car's electrical voltage level 48V DC does not support the C7. For eternity equipped, we are with the C7 so perhaps not.
