If this newcomer adds an interesting dimension, however tome does not advance us much about the overall story. Arlen back to the Hollow to try to organize the resistance to Krasien but especially for the next few nights Decline while trying to fit in with the new hierarchy in place. Jardir did the same, trying to organize his new empire amid incessant power struggles. It is a kind of long transition where each strengthens its positions waiting to see if they can withstand demons now believe they know the power and leads us slowly towards a conclusion that it promises serious upheavals for the future.
So we end up with a novel that takes a bit long, perhaps to reflect the expectation of what might be the end of hope for humanity, probably a little less interesting than the previous ones, but I still faint and I completed a few days. The author's style is effective and we fully immersed in the different atmospheres. Personally I therefore expect the suite (2 other volumes are planned) with some impatience.
