For the price you can not go wrong. Anscheinedn I was lucky that mine is not noisy. For 1 year always on set for the B-Cam for the "not sound". Ehlichgesagt I have done so already kleinichkeiten with the 5D, fits. It's not high-end but still good with benützbaren results.
The negative comments I can so far not yet understand. If the sound is really important then I use but that Senn ****** will cost, also 500, -. For just ordenlich capture the mood of the event, is sufficient.
Better than the built-in mic on the 5D. Richtmikofon properties also good.
