Not quite perfect, I also think of sponge rubber adhesive pad, as with the original bracket. This was formerly a little too close to the stem montiertert and had to put something back. However, the adhesive pad sticks very well and the holder settled in my case, then again quite difficult to solve. But without backing it is not, then the holder can fix bad on the handlebars and slipped constantly. I recommend the pad a piece of rubber of an old bicycle tube sticking. Then then works just fine.
The cable may well be a good deal shorter, always put man must when installing a "loop".
