From from:
I sit anyway in a wireless coverage area and I have therefore not expect any miracles.
Or the device has expected to fight with the reception like any other receiver also.
No more, no less.
But:
I had bought the Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter recently only (premature) me
so I can stream to my stereo music from my Tablet.
By coincidence I then came across the digital radio and was surprised by the abundance of functions.
The device solves almost all of my streaming and radio solutions with a match. If it still can now convince sonically,
then the Technisat Digit Radio 100 IR would be the optimal solution. Thought out and buy but without expectation.
An extensive Unpacking I spare you now: delivery, packaging and connection functioned according to the price range.
I can not say that I would have been disappointed negatively nor particularly surprised.
The initial installation is intuitive and easy by hand, operation via the remote control is self-explanatory.
My radio reception was (as expected) weak and marked by interruptions. I know already, no particular surprise and forgivable.
So fix on the important (for me) basic functions checked:
Bluetooth:
Pairing easily reach correspondingly other comparable devices completely ok and average, Tonal balance.
Internet Radio (Wireless):
Here the first positive surprise! The transmitter menu is logical and easy to understand and you will find very easy matching transmitter. The reception and streaming via the base station (Vodafone Easybox 904) is absolute after the one-time setup
reliable. Once connected, the streams DigitRadio continuously in crystal clear quality. The messages from various system crashes can I neither share nor understand.
Also sound can convince the DigitRadio. Tonal balance, without conspicuous, digital curing or over stresses.
Advance set, you can stay away from the system settings in the item "equalizer".
(Translating the menu system seems to be a little overzealous ... no serious error, probably something to smile)
The question remains, for what you now FM or DAB + requires? Any station can be yes also stream in good quality.
And with tens of thousands of online resources is for everyone ...
Menu item "Play Music":
A broad term ... Huh? What Music? Where?
One searches in vain for the slot for external media (USB, SD card slots o. Ä.)
So activated function and tested quickly, what is behind it?
Then the big surprise: The device uses autonomously on my NAS server is reliable all music files
and they cataloged logically by Artist, Album or name and also reads music lists. Wow! Now I'm floored!
And: Despite various media formats (WAV, FLAC, MP3, etc.) is roaring the DigitRadio any format from the server by and
Although in a quality that knows how to surprise and convince.
Here I would even tend to call playback as audiophile.
The machine actually manages to create a tonally balanced sound with good stage presence and graduation.
A small drawback, there are also in this menu item:
Shuffle through all the files (approximately 1,400 individual tracks) rejects the unit on the ground "to many music files, will not be possible" from.
Ok, that's honest and consistent and not a real error. Other, partly expensive devices fall just simply from unasked.
Since my honest assessment of the device is much better. If it does not work, it does not go up, so I can live.
Long story short ...
I use now two services of a total of five possible services that provides the unit.
Due to my situation and my situation I am happy and satisfied with the two services
(Internet radio, music from my home server)
Bluetooth, FM and DAB + are "nice to have", with a good Wi-Fi connection and its own Home Server but superfluous.
Also worth mentioning is the positive possibility of built-in volume control.
So you can leave the remote control of the connected sound system safely in the drawer.
Even with a bit less functions the device full 5 star would be my worth.
A smaller, less complicated "problem solver" who can convince Thanks to its connectivity and its good tonal characteristics on full line.
PS: My wife can operate the unit and is now thrilled!
The weighting of this fact, I leave to your imagination now.
Grief-stricken, technically interested will be able to interpret these remarks very good ... ;-)
