Canon EOS 100D 18-55 IS STM (vs. Canon EOS M)

Preface: I have currently the Canon EOS M, this I specially added myself for the last holiday.
Small, handy, good picture and video quality. Fit in your pocket. Ideal for holidays.
In retrospect, however, I am angry about a few moments I could not hold due to the slow autofocus.

Now I have decided spontaneously for Canon EOS 100D, because I wanted to have a small, compact SLR.
The camera is small, light, is very good in my hands. Despite the lens I find the handling to be very good.
The difference in weight of 407g (EOS 100D) to 298g (EOS M) hardly arises.
The autofocus is much faster than the EOS M.

Another big advantage for me is that the batteries (Canon LP-E 12) from the EOS M also with the EOS 100D fit so I needed me here to look for additional batteries.

The sensor (APS-C CMOS sensor), the megapixels (18.0) and also the touch screen (3 inches, 7.7cm) are the same.

As a lens I have is 18-55 IS STM that handles my opinion, very easy, fast, sharp and well (even though it consists mainly of plastic). In addition, I think about still buy the 17-85 EF-S lens.

For me, the best purchasing decision. I am very pleased with the EOS 100D and can recommend it only.
For beginners, amateur photographers or people who simply are looking for a small, handy and quick reflex,
100D is the right place.
