First impression with respect to the handling:
- The grip area to the right is likely to be somewhat more formed.
- The position of the extending flash is used to, as you hold the camera like in addition to the left.
When the flash is only but extended beyond remains enough space for the index finger of the left hand.
- Display contents are sufficiently clearly visible even outdoors.
- The mode dial back instead of above is used to, but certainly not a problem.
The time for focusing and triggering of photos are pleasantly short.
Even the flash is very quickly ready for another shot. The flash range is related to the small flash well.
The picture quality is good for a compact camera with such a large zoom range.
What stood out in the first test shots:
The choice of aperture and shutter speed was usually good in automatic mode, single backlit images were not optimally illuminated.
Especially when shooting in a room of the ISO value was often (too) high, which although shorter exposure times, but it is a higher "grain" can be achieved in the picture.
Even when using the flash part relatively high ISO values (eg ISO 400) is selected by the automatic, which would not have been necessary for a distance of 2 m from the object.
That in automatic mode, ISO speed can not be controlled, is normal.
Thus were - in relation to the grain - the shots, for example in P mode or M better if a low ISO value has been chosen.
Surprised, however that the setting of JPEG compression is also coupled to the mode: Thus, the images are always taken in automatic mode with "fine", a changeover to "Super Fine" is only in the other modes possible (and looks even there ).
If you go to 100% -size are noise and fringing visible even at ISO 100. But this should be no problem at normal viewing size (eg 50% or Full HD) and in paper prints / photo albums in "normal" image formats.
Telephoto: Even at maximum zoom (. 500mm eqiv KB) created good pictures. For example, a weathercock on the spire from a distance or an old roof antenna should be recognized very well. Only slight color bleeding can be seen. See uploaded images.
A test wise expression in 10x15 delivers a very good result.
The battery has 80 pictures (approx 1/3 with flash) full after about 4 minutes of video and various transitions through all the menus and playback function, according to display still 2/3.
Even after the firmware upgrade, the battery indicator in the video mode captures fast "empty" to blink. The recording will continue for now.
If the recording is completed, the battery empty indicator keeps blinking. Only after turning off / on the battery will return to a "normal" value.
Effects: If and when effects such as miniature railway or Fisheye (actually as an effect, not optical) are used, is another question. The camera offers the possibilities, but was not a selling point.
For video quality (audio / video) and recording time can not conclude that this was not in the first experiments at the center.
