The device via Ethernet was a breeze, I use Wi-Fi here, its own network burdened unnecessarily.
To control I use an iPad or iPhone - this is then already enough traffic on its network.
The apps allow access from outside via registration at the Foscam-Cloud, there via 3G and WiFi.
The former should be used more frequently but only for an ordinary Downloadkontigent.
To connect the apps via the cloud, you need the ID, which was stuck on the camera.
The functions and handling of the apps are ok.
The newer iPhone version offers many features, such as auto / manual Schenk, controlling the infrared illumination,
Taking pictures / videos, key for transmitting sound separately in both directions.
The iPadversion acts as if it had been programmed yet for iOS6.
The writing and graphics are too large, instead of some buttons often does not appear until a white surface, which then appear only when the camera moves. Undeniably cool feature, however, is the motion control via swipe.
The camera has no zoom and focus. But the picture is not only from front to back surprisingly sharp, but also light.
Even without zugeschaltetem infrared light can still use long at dusk the normal camera mode,
without making the picture too noisy or gets artifacts.
In infrared mode the LEDs to reach even the most remote corners in the corner 5 meters away illuminate.
Depending on the brightness at the camera and infrared light automatically switched on and be switched off.
This works except for the exception of partial high brightness contrasts quite well.
For example, at dusk still plenty of light through the window seems, but shadows are very dark,
takes the reaction to turn on the infrared mode for too long and swivel the camera you have there overexposed part white.
Nice extra feature is the audio transmission.
As expected, the transmitted sound is metallic and mitttonlastig, yet easy to understand and loud enough in the normal environment.
For the Apps and the small automatic weakness there is a point deduction, as a camera but it is more than convincing.
