Since I work scientifically and also quite a bit of knowledge in the field had cognitive science, I can only speak from the not-just-lay perspective. The book is in my opinion quite demanding of the information density ago and therefore more likely not for the relaxed bedtime reading. But - it is for a scientific work peppered extremely engaging, and with a lot of generally obvious everyday examples and if you have enough time brings, then you will not regret it! It contains absolutely worth knowing about our thought processes, the pitfalls of "shortcuts" in thinking, which can lead to hasty wrong answers, about how sometimes judges without realizing that you have made no conscious decision, but that "the little man in the ear "has an automatically delivered a decision aid. It is a book for anyone who wants to better understand our thoughts, judgments, decisions and our emotional responses. And also for those who have ever wondered how much we actually effectively control yourself and how much automatic in our brain processes subject that we can not control. Full 5 stars!
