Cheap alternative compared to the original

I use the Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter to my 13 "MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) to my 24" monitor via DVI to operate with a resolution of 1920x1200. I use the large 24 "Mainly for text work (programming) but also from time to watch a Full HD movie about it.
Connecting the adapter to your MacBook and monitor is the same as in the original Apple adapter, and otherwise there is the quality of the transmission no detectable defects.
Unfortunately it is not possible via DVI to VGA adapter to drive a monitor via VGA, because although the connecting a DVI-VGA adapter possible (not like the original adapter from Apple) but unfortunately the necessary PINs has not been established, so there is no image displayed can be.
Pleasant I find the longer cable of the adapter between mini display port and DVI connection. The cable must not be kinked as this is necessary in the original adapter, if you lead the connecting cable to the back and not sideways.

For this price absolutely affordable alternative compared to the almost 30 expensive original adapters
