One can meet the needs properly leave money or try a low-cost NAS. The DNS-320 has a total of good reviews which led me to buy.
After 4 weeks of operation, I can say that it is my requirements - actually rather oversized acts when one considers the wealth of opportunities.
The delivery was fast and reliable, as usual Amazon.
The NAS has an overall good quality impression. Equipped it was set up with 2 1TB HDDs (5400rpm) and RAID1 (mirrored). Sure, you lose 1TB of storage space, but has ever a certain security through disk mirroring.
The installation of the SATA hard drives is really good - just plug in the bracket - the other facility was smooth and should be done with the manual provided by each. Or similar things such as video streaming, DynDNS I've been testing, but then switched off again.
The new firmware supports up to 3TB HDDs.
After it went in the living room the first 2 weeks, I really fell as only critism of occasionally annoying fan on. This may be related to the two built-in HDDs, according to temperature display these but never was the limit. However, since it should go away in the basement anyway, I did not care.
The access times are in my gigabit network consistently satisfactory (greater 20MB / sec.). Backup and iTunes servers also perform their services.
The web interface is initially in English, once at least. A HDD is installed, a German Language File (download on the D-Link page) are imported.
This is very clear and easy to use.
Who is satisfied with simple NAS services gets a respectable, reliable and really effective device here.
From me a strong buy recommendation.
