negative: the implementation in terms of sound and workmanship
(Here I can review from the 04.16.2014 plug in any way!)
1. The first unit of the USB port was already broken - after three plugging and unplugging the supplied USB cable into the very tight connector at the back of the speaker is very likely the soldered at least one solder contact only on the board (behutsamem!) and not otherwise fixed socket broken.
Also in the second unit I am very curious to see how many times the USB connector will be used. If you are not a Ringtone Junkie, you need not to make the fortunately so often ...
2. The internal memory on the chip * MusicBox software provided for Windows (* the chip is by the way a virtual CD-ROM drive to recognize) converts great sounding WAV and MP3 files during transfer to the box so bad that you would already can hear when you play the transferred files on the PC (click to in the software column the transferred file and click the bottom right on the play button): It rattles - estimated distortion> 10% - and you can hear bad compression artifacts (noise and Filter ringing in the high frequencies).
Tip: This can be reduced if you previously self-compresses the file as much mp3: The relatively best results I have achieved with the following compression settings - do not scare (!): Mono, 56 kbit / s, 16kHz sampling rate!
This could be made easily with the freeware LameXP. So it sounds much better than before with the compression that makes the device itself.
3. When playing almost all supplied and own ringtones vibrates and rattles the right thin-walled housing (on both devices, which I had, it was so!), So it is hard to use the full volume, piano tones tinkle without end.
Barking sounds more like a bit of a sawing carpenter apprentice ... That suggests no unpleasant Klingler to flight, unless he has taken laughter at this artificial "bark" in the pants ;-)
Almost every 20-EUR-PC / multimedia speakers from the electrical market sounds much better than this Plärrkiste.
4. The setting of the desired ring tone is done in bell housing (the radio station). For this you have to open the case in three steps, first remove the fortified with three locking lugs transparent cover over the label, then inside a Phillips screw (PH1) and finally solve "pry" the main body via a lateral locking lug hole. Removing the transparent cover and the opening of the main case is difficult, you need another tool with very flat blade. In particular, the lid goes from hardly without having leaves little Katschen or scratches on the housing. And they rightly fear that at least. A latching tabs when opening breaks.
The hardware store I have other Heidemann wireless ringing without MP3 business opportunity is one that sound noticeably better klirrärmer and just costs 28 EUR. So for 65-70 EUR it would be certainly possible to use a low-vibration housing. The compression in the transfer software to get your own ringtones on the chip is an urgent need of improvement. Probably was violently stingy even on space if so must be highly compressed, what really ??? For the 8 minutes Max storage time you do not even need in ordinary mp3 quality in 256kBit / s mono at 44.1 kHz sampling rate 10 MB flash memory, the Peanuts Prize for as a little more memory is a joke.
But if this box is a joke, but unfortunately a bad.
