I am dealing with hybrid photography and sought an inexpensive scanner to archive my self-developed negatives (primarily 120 roll film). The scan times and quite thin negative holder have been frequently described and criticized, but for naught is, there is nothing, at any point is just saved, and you want more, must also (significantly) to be paid more. Bottom line, the scanner is not only better than expected - he is for this price / performance ratio just great! Roll film format 6x7 rich at 2400 dpi - depending on the grain size of the footage - for printing up to 24x30 slack off. Mm film at 1200 dpi is still within the acceptable range (except of course slides, which are necessarily better). Photo Templates I only 2x scanned, but also make a decent impression. Due to other reviews I have advance an optical glass for a better flatness (instead of the hinged frame of Canon - holder) bought negative holder and a spare - I display fittings in the minutes, in which the Other "in work" is. So scanning runs quite briskly and with this price super results. The often-criticized software "Scangear" is actually just a bit strange, dust and scratch removal function smoothly, whether the often-cited "better" Scan programs I can not say really bring so much more, I do not want to try - they are too simple expensive ... My conclusion: If you want to specify a scanner that is also "film Capable", is likely to be best served with this all-round device. Five star, despite the thin negative holder, for me the result counts!
