Actually I bought DiskStation only for my daily backups via the WLAN - integrated in the Fritz box NAS solution was simply not powerful enough.

Since use of the DiskStation my backups run daily error-free. Out of curiosity and playfulness I started to occupy myself with the additional NAS File Services Station, Photo Station and video station. Synology provides here for a variety of platforms (iOS, Android and even our Samsung TV) powerful apps. So it is possible to access from any Internet connection on my files to show our photo collection and watch videos. For this, the apps are continually maintained and updated - great!

I usually write a review only when I am totally dissatisfied or very satisfied with a product. Synology Disk Station is part of the latter category and I can only recommend any dedicated home users.

Perhaps a small point of criticism: the operation / facility is not always solved really intuitive. Experienced PC users will have no problem, newcomers may have ...
