- The controller / board in the housing are poorly fixed,
- One of the two screws to fix the PCB in the housing is carried out close to an electronic component,
- The housing recess for the USB connection is somewhat imprecise,
- The USB plug is quite tight in the socket (arrival / Stakeout probably not permanent)
The function I could not clearly confirm, because although the blue LED lit up, but the drive in Win 7 is not recognized (no controller detecting new hardware etc.). For me, not a function, tested using a Toshiba 250GB MK2533GSG that is specified with 700 mA current requirement, whereby the starting current at about 850mA according to the manufacturer. Also spare cable with double connection and the direct connection to the PC brought no improvement. The case therefore goes back.
On purchased as Amazon DeLock 1.8 "housing (just a USB 3.0 cable) does the board properly, but also shows the current hunger (working properly only directly on the board, FSC Celsius). The Delock enclosure is significantly larger and especially unfortunately also thicker.
Actually I wanted to buy a further housing and operate it with a SSD, but the SSD's all have a power requirement of 800 mA and more, too bad.
For +++ there is still 3 stars (-1 -1 for function and for processing).
