The PPX2055 PicoPix is the smallest and most mobile projectors in the test field.
What distinguishes him:
+ Ultra mobile, fits in any pocket
+ Tiny but amazingly sharp image
+ Balanced colors, attractive contrast
What precipitated not so good
- Unsuitable for Files All rucket, USB 2.0 apparently too slow
- Only works via USB, only on the PC, not on the tablet or on the Game Console
- Requires Windows or Mac OS and admin rights to install the driver
- No Media Player, no independent use
- Too dark, the darkest projector in the test field
- In spite of the size compared to other projectors in the test very loud
- Unsuitable for presentations: It's too dark, so you can create only a tiny picture, if you still want to see something. If you enlarge the image, the low resolution is visible, you can see very clearly then the individual pixels, the writing always seems out of focus.
- Attracts fingerprints magically, looks after every touch of dingy.
- Software / driver unstable (or power consumption is too high, see below), falls in between just once off, the projector must then be reconnected
- High power demand via USB, High brightness level is not possible at each port
Conclusion:
The projector could not convince me. He is the günstiste projector in the test field and by far the most mobile and compact. He also works on any PC, no matter which video output has because it communicates via USB. This makes it an always-this projector in the notebook case to even really point to the quick a small group of people a (much too tiny) presentation. But if you can not completely darken the room, you have to set the projector due to the low brightness so close to the wall that the picture is simply too small. You might just as well look directly at the screen of the notebook. And do you manage it, to get the room completely dark and the image is large enough, the low resolution arises. Writings are never really sharp, you can see all the pixels. And if you have not previously installed the driver, you see nothing. Just quickly reach the projector so that the colleagues can not. In addition, the power consumption via USB is so large that a Y-cable is provided in order to use the power of two terminals. Does the notebook only one, or it may not provide enough power, the projector is even darker.
What remains? Film? - No, for the connection via USB jerky way too strong. It has about 10 frames / sec, which is not fun. In addition, the box is despite its size, very loud, the zweitlauteste Beamer in the test field.
Show photos? Yes, in principle. But not from their mobile devices such as mobile phone or tablet that one can not connect until the absence of driver.
For myself, the projector is just a gimmick, but it is at the end then too expensive. I can not recommend him.
Instead, I chose the Optoma ML750 LED projector (Contrast 10000: 1 1280 x 800 pixels, 700 ANSI lumens) decided. This costs about 125% more, but is unlike any other, a 'real' Beamer with much higher resolution and brightness. It is still compact enough to fit in the laptop bag, has a decent picture, the volume is in the frame and it provides a media player, many connections incl. VGA and optional even a wireless playback via WLAN
