Basis:
=============
Bought as a "single toy" for our Maine Coone-British Short Hair cat hybrid. It is actually quite a "Bruiser" As for toys and knows even electric toy (eg Undercover Mouse). Afraid she is rarely happy and quite rough in dealing with the toys. Our goal was, the cat sometimes to employ independent of our presence - without risk of injury and possible without endangering our furniture ;-)
We ordered two "electric bullets" and I will now compare these with each other a little:
1) the Weazel Ball Wiesel Ball
2) the advertised here Trixie 4564 turbinio Ball
Description (1):
===================
A ball of about 10 cm in diameter - two hemispheres that are together and screwed in the middle. On one side of the little weasel is secured with two short Angel tendons. Inside sits the small electric motor which is powered by one AA battery. The closure of the battery compartment (a small slide) is also the on-off switch. That is, you must always screw the ball on and off. If the unit is turned on, then puts a small "crank" in operation that puts the ball in irregular rotational movements (maybe a little to imagine how the drive at the wheel of a steam engine).
Description (2):
===================
The second product is largely identical, same two hemispheres, same size, same thoughts and feelings. Differences exist in the following outdoor attached here not weasel but a 20 - 25 cm long rubber cord with a small stuffed animal. Furthermore, this unit features an external on-off switch in the form of a small wheel.
Pro:
======
+++ Good movement principle: irregular, continuously, insensitive, unpredictable in direction
+++ Outwardly rugged hard plastic, barely destructible
+++ Low battery consumption and unproblematic to operate by battery
+++ Quiet engine noise (buzzing or humming)
+++ Foreign object is tempting to reciprocate
+++ Lends itself well to leave alone
Cons:
========
--- Hard plastic on hard ground (eg parquet) quite noisy

(1) The Weazel Ball has the disadvantage of having to be always screwed if you want him once or off. Although this is made with two or three rotations quite easily, acting on a permanent but a bit annoying and long burdened the screw. Positive, however, the little plush Wiesel what a real animal actually very similar. It looks like it was with the nose herstupsen the ball in front of him and constantly sniff. Unfortunately, our cat "Freki" probably very reminiscent of a real Wieselchen and it has for a long time not dared to venture properly and was very skeptical. Downside is that the weasel-ball moves more in the county - plus see step 2.
(2) The Trixie turbinio ball compensates for the disadvantage of switching (1) from using it has an external switch. However, this is a little "friemelig" and does not work very high. It is a small cog which can be pushed rather bad from on to off. But it works. The rubber band holds my opinion a low risk of injury - the cat might be (though unlikely) get tangled in it. However, for playing together the rubber cord is well suited. Excluding roll the device alone, so the string spins an ever higher and (too small) stuffed animal is drawn ever closer to the ball. It attracts not as "real" as the weasel of number (1). One advantage of Trixie Balls is still that his movement straightforward runs than the Wiesel. Because the Weasel hard hanging on one side, the weasel-ball moves more in the circle. The Trixie Ball also creates longer distances. If there are obstacles both move Bälleunvorhersagbar and change the direction.
Conclusion:
=======
My winner is just the number (1) - the differences are marginal. The weasel is just very cute and acts when the fear is once overcome, very tempting to the cat. A real little playmate, so to speak. However, both balls are not just suitable for timid, shy cats I would suspect. Our little "Bruiser" was certainly several days unusually timid and cautious.
The disadvantage of Weazel ball, he switched only on the inside and can be turned off falls, for me not so much weight - the screw is quite simply out of hand and the switch of Trixie Balls is also not exactly brilliant. This, however, is well suited with its rubber cord to playing together. You can use it for example the ball up before Kätzcen and pendant mounting or let the cat, even when the Moter, lure.
We have to keep both balls.
