First of all: neither SoundBar gets off to a real surround sound. It simply lacks the rear surround speakers. In both systems but you get a very powerful bass with the subwoofer.
The comparison in detail:
Connection options: Denon here offers more additions including HDMI ARC and Bluetooth.. This one is certainly better equipped for future televisions or other uses. The Bluetooth reception is however to 3m distance to the iPhone very prone to failure. Denon: Bose 1: 0
Bass: both systems more than ample. The bass is also at the two plants, the only thing you can adjust: this one turns each on a button on the back and gets so more or less bass performance. In neither of the two systems, this can be controlled via the remote control. Denon: Bose 2: 1
Size: The Denon Soundbar is very broad and needs therefore a lot of space on the TV cabinet. In addition, it covers when installed in front of the TV easily to infrared received by the TV. Denon has but the recognized and provides an infrared signal transduction with. The Denon Soundbar can also be hung on the wall. In the Bose Soundbar is significantly smaller. But this is the subwoofer significantly larger. Whether a latter disrupts depends on its own spatial possibilities. The Bose Soundbar can only be put down. Overall I give Denon half a point more. Denon: Bose 2.5: 1
Cable: both devices are connected with a single cable to the TV. The Denonsoundbar additionally requires a power supply. The subwoofer needs a power connection on both devices. For Denon the subwoofer connects wirelessly with the Soundbar. At Bose, the connection to the subwoofer via two cables. Vemutlich the Sounbar gets here on also current. How far does the wireless connection at Denon, I have not tested. Located next to the TV reception is excellent. Due to the wireless connection Denon is for me also a half-point forwards. Denon: Bose 3: 1
Language: without any setting sounds the language in Bose-center and thus more appropriate. However, one can even between a "more central" or choose "other" sound setting at Denon. Draws. Denon: Bose 4: 2
Movie: here convinced me at least with the action sequences "wide" setting the Denon system significantly more than the Bose sound. The sound was spatial and there were more details audible. Denon: Bose 5: 2
Mean sound frequencies: here it lacks in my opinion both devices have the necessary speakers. The small speaker in the Sound bars play very nicely from the high notes and the subwoofer adds wonderful bass, but the centers are simply missing. Here then also makes both devices the absence of further adjustment noticeable. With an additional treble knob one would here perhaps even be able to save a little more. Draws Denon: Bose 5: 2
Extra: Denon has a night mode which takes away the bass at your fingertips. In rejoice neighbors and sleeping family members. Bose delivers with a universal remote control. I think that's very laudable, but I already have a universal remote control with display, which provides even more possibilities. No rating
Bottom line: for me clearly gaining the Denon system comparison. Now would be perhaps more interesting times to test the larger CineMate systems from Bose, but then one is priced 3 to 5 times more than the prices of the Denon system.
