Now I wanted to try the German competition for cheaper. You get here for about 3.70 (incl. Versandklosten) so a brace in Germany manufactured screen protectors. Cheaper, two, promised high quality - meant for me: Try!
I've been using for my HTC Desire additional Mumbi-silicone sleeve.
Pictures:
========
I have two pictures of the assembled film uploaded - it can be found at the product images, and everyone can get an idea.
Assembly:
=========
~ Pretty simple and as with other films also common: clean display, solve substrate of film to 1/3, start slide correctly and let sliding on partially remove support material throughout strikeouts, possibly bubbles
~ For me, yes now the second time that I was able auffriemeln such a film, the assembly functioned remarkably well - the usual problems with the finest Staubkönchen and the correct fit of course there were still
Pro:
=====
+++ Very pleasant surface: sweeps along very well with his finger, remain "stuck" or hardly Huckeln
+++ Brilliant, clear film that affects the display properties in any way
+++ Just as robust as the more expensive of atFoliX
+++ Millimeter exact fit: beautiful appearance, the film is hardly noticeable
Cons:
========
--- The fit is almost perfect, at the corners of the film comes easy and you really have to "micrometers" -just put
Conclusion:
=======
Because of the lower price for the same two films actually an alternative. The film is of high quality, can be as good as the mount of FoliX, but also has the usual Dafizite such films: means that you must work extremely accurate, to produce a good fit and the finest impurities on the screen reduce the result vastly , Every tiny speck of dust causes an ugly little bubble.
The absolute millimeter-exact fit means that you ...
(1) when mounting has absolutely no leeway
(2) inevitably gets into trouble at the corners when using a silicone sleeve, because this indeed exactly stop at the corners of the display and then there comes to the film and this stands out easily.
Compared with atFoliX:
=======================
The problem with the silicone case I had at the beginning atFoliX also - as I have solved it, as I have the corners of the foil cut off a little. These goals could only do bad and meant that you could see at the places, of course, which is placed a sheet - rather unpleasant, but it worked for the silicone shell problem.
Overall, I feel the films to be equivalent and can therefore recommend to the cheaper of slabo.
TIP: grinding the silicone sleeve:
====================================
I have to tackle the problem with the silicone sleeve now times, with the risk of ruining it, manipulates my silicone sleeve.
Namely bothered me, as indicated above, that meet Display Film and Silicone Case exactly on the edge of the display, there abut each other and the silicone shell repeatedly (especially when attaching the cover) lifts the film from the display. Here, of course dirt penetrate under the foil and runieren the fit.
So I have "cut" my silicone sleeve on the inner edge. I've tried three methods:
1) A heated over the candle paper clip to the silicon melt away -> moderate success, unsightly edge
2) Cutter Knife -> also moderate, uneven edges, unsightly cuts
3) "Dremel" -Multi-tool (an electric tool with high speed and various small articles for cutting and grinding) -> good result
With the "Dremel" I could curtail or grind the inner edge appropriately. With something Cleverly, the result looks quite well. I was able to fix the original problem and the film now sits perfectly.
PS: I am not responsible for ruined Covers ;-) One has to be clear that the resulting edge no longer corresponds to the smooth and finely be rounded Original Also it. However, I am satisfied. In addition, the protective cover can now easily install and remove, because the edges slightly less overlap.
