Superposed one first determines time that the Ex Libris Lighthouse is a little larger than the Moleskine journal.
Haptic are both similarly valuable and well finished. The Moleskine has relief on the black cover literary imprints, which I find a bit prettier than the smooth look with the Ex Libris imprint of Lighthouse book. The lighthouse Ex Libris there but in different colors, which is not possible when Moleskin, since there is only black.
Both the rubber sealing is fixed and mounted taut and stable.
The lighthouse Ex Libris affects me a little thicker and weighs almost 100 g more.
In both books, the pages are thin but quite describe with ink without it by pressing. My normally used Fineliner left but a slight sheen on the back, so that I make entries only with my Waterman pen.
Both books is a bookmark. At Lighthouse This is a little bigger, but from very soft cardboard. The Moleskine is again suitably designed to cover and a little more stable, for coated washable Lighthouse.
In addition, both books have the back cover in a pocket into which you can insert notes, Zettelche, bookmarks etc.. I appreciate that very personally.
The distribution is different in the two books:
Ex Libris Lighthouse:
116 pages, one page per book,
ankreuzbar whether book or audio book,
Title
Author,
read (When? / Where?)
Release date,
Genre,
Comments / Quotes,
Original Language,
ankreuzbare Rating 1-6,
gifted by,
away to
Then follow 4 categories, with riders on the right side, a rider is still free to label, are the other:
Reading
Give away
Awarded / Lent
The sides are simply lined.
These categories I find unnecessary for me, because I would make these entries in the preceding pages. In addition, I give books only as a last resort and do not keep track what books I have given away to whom. As one would have to expand the first part and can omit this, I think.
The next part of the lighthouse Ex Libris is provided with alphabetical tabs AZ, the sides are lined and arranged as a table. The table has three columns author and Tital page and can be used as a glossary for the first part of the book. I feel almost as really right, we find immediately the right book and does not need to scroll back and forth in the first part. A very good solution that I find more clearly, as the division of Moleskine.
In addition, the Ex Libris is of Leuchttrum a leaflet with stickers in, with which you can paste over the spine and the cover so that you can catalog the book better.
My lime green Ex Libris has a green ribbon bookmark.
Moleskine Passion Journal Books
The Moleskine has 162 pages with right mounted horsemen alphabetical AZ
For every book a page with the pre-printed information (English!):
Title
read
Release date,
Author
Verlag,
Nationality,
Quotes,
Year,
Original Language,
Prices,
Notes,
Opinion,
Rating (5 star to tick preprinted / imagine / paste)
Here I found some information (nationality / prices) is superfluous and, she handwritten deleted or changed.
A pity, I find that the space for the quotes is not lined and the space for the notes very cramped.
This is followed by 6 other categories, which are characterized by riders on the right side. Labeled it is only the first in the words "to remember" all other can be assigned manually or be covered with the included stickers.
Unlike the Ex Libris the Moleskine has 3 Lesebändchen in black, light gray and gray, which I find very convenient. Since you can select as many books or the side on which you last made entries.
The moleskin are 3 sheets with glued-on. One is provided with stickers for labeling the rear sides. These are printed with:
My Favourites, Events, Readings & Signings, Bookclubs, websites, communities, Facebook Groups, My Youtube, Online Stores Online Book Stores, Wish List, To read, Lent, Borrowed, etc.
(I have uploaded pictures of it, so that an image can be done to it.)
I find basically not bad, but I would have liked here a German edition and also in Moleskine I'd rather have more sides of the first part and can not imagine what I really in place with these headings me. First, I do not need it, as I would prefer something a note to me directly from the page of the book.
The other two sheets of stickers are the one gray and printed on the other petrol-colored, they are printed with exclamation mark, Luv, stars, smilies and further, so that you can install it on the pages of the books and seen as directly at a glance if one has liked the book or if you want to remember. I liked the idea really excellent.
In addition, the Moleskine has a short index, in which you can enter alphabetical aside number book titles and co in the last pages. Not bad, but too narrow and a bit confusing from my perspective.
Conclusion:
Both books have their strengths and weaknesses, 100% I'd be happy rather with a mixture of both. The first portions of both books I like very much, which just bothers me when Moleskine that it is labeled in English and that the division is alphabetically something stupid to handle. That's much better solved at Ex Libris, because there will be at the beginning, as with XYZ certainly more books with D or A or E. The register at the end I think there for clearer than the classification with the riders that causes D will certainly be full soon and still offer other characters a lot of space.
The three Lesebändchen in Moleskine I find better than only one in the Ex Libris and the stickers for the book cover of Ex Libris I would have liked for the Moleskine.
However, both books are absolutely useful, high quality and make a very chic impression. I think it's a matter of taste, for which of the two books you can be inspired. Priced they are not too far apart.
I hope through my comparison to the one or to have facilitated the decision between the two other beautiful books!
Have fun while reading!
