The Plantronics ML20 is at No. 1 on Amazon in the category Headsets, what was the motive for this purchase.
## Scope of supply ##
The headset comes with a microUSB charger for the power outlet. However, it is not a plug-in power supply (such as Samsung products) and can therefore only be used in the wall socket and not via USB for example. The headset is fully charged, a ready to use.
## Connecting ##
There can be up to 2 devices "paired" at the same time, which is possible via Bluetooth with any standard phone. When my Samsung Galaxy S2 and Sony Xperia Ray connect there were no problems.
I had no problems with disconnects or the like during the whole time. The range is more than adequate. With my Sony mobile I can loose 2 offices continue to be (about 10m) and the connection still exists and calls possible.
When you turn on the device, it informs the user via voice output via the current battery level (full, medium, empty) and the connection of the device. When you switch the user will be informed that the Geärt is turned off.
(May the one to take the calls and hang up) for "Multi Connect" (to pair 2 devices) the "Handset button" pressed and then turn on the unit: Note. If the first unit is already paired, so another device can be added. When you turn it searches then the right device and combines it.
## Processing, haptics ##
Processing looks to me quite solid and it feels not as if the same go something breaks. The buttons and sliders have a good operation feel and work as they should.
One negative I have to give to the earhook. Either I've found to big ears or not yet the perfect way, but I need several attempts to set up to the headset. The ear hook is made of plastic and completely stiff, so that you can it not easily "bend" and put around the ear. I have the headset behind the ear "push", but this does not always work the first try.
If you have the headset on the ear but sometimes, it is very easy and is secure. I never felt that, as it would give me fall out of the ear, and after some time I have partly no longer felt the headset. So perfect for people who want to make calls longer.
## Voice quality ##
The voice quality is very good and the microphone relatively loud. When I used the Sony in-ear headphones, the interlocutors have often mentioned that it sounds like I'm farther away. The Plantronics Headset me all interlocutors have confirmed an excellent quality. One can understand me quite naturally and loudly.
The earphones have a small tapered channel made of rubber, so that the sound is transmitted directly into the ear canal and thus has a good quality. It is not in-ear headphones!
As a neutral but I would rate two points:
1) The earpiece is adequate, but the sound could be a bit "clearer". Unfortunately, this is difficult to describe.
2) If you sit in a noisy room, so these sounds are recorded and transmitted by the microphone. Better filtering or suppression would be very useful for such situations, but is not to be expected in the price range.
## Battery ##
Unfortunately I can not say much at this point. I phoned used and appreciated each 2-3 hours on day 2 weeks, the device. Switched on and connected via Bluetooth it was about 8-9 hours per day. The unit has now an average battery level and is not needed to be charged.
## Conclusion ##
I had the headset 2 weeks in daily office use and am thrilled. The voice quality, finish and coverage is very good. But the placement of the headset gives me personally still problems, but eventually I think there's a better way (in comments likely to raise).
Should you have specific questions, it writes in the comments and I'll try to answer them.
