Configuration options only very minimal

I have been looking for just such a solution as the LaCie Wireless Space. I wanted my music and movies over the UnPnP media server over the network share so that I can play on TV this example on my Playstation 3. I have connected the device via Wi-Fi with my existing network and then connect via Ethernet to the Playstation 3 so that access can be made to the media in accordance with quickly. As far as everything went very smooth and easy. Also on the functionality forth does the setup as desired.

Unfortunately, this device but only very minimal configuration which is not sufficient for a "network" device in my opinion. There are only 2 shares (OpenShare and MyShare) which you can not configure on. The OpenShare is so that each participant can access the network on the data completely open and without access protection. The MyShare however, has access protection but only for exactly one user. However, the media server provides only data from the OpenShare. Here I would like to also wish to set up an access protection or to configure the media server to recognize that this can also deliver data from the access-protected MyShare. Especially for users on the network will be the number of hits somehow protect. On request at Lacie here is no extension for example by a firmware update in sight.

Otherwise, the hard disk drives now and then high, even without access to this will be made. This is especially troublesome at night.

In principle, I am satisfied with the device, the lack of access protection for the OpenShare evaluates the device in my eyes but quite off, just as there is a network device.
