Despite flawless production and polyphonic arrangements remains "Prism" clearly behind "Teenage Dream" back. It is, as I said, quite successful, a great success, it is not. The vigorous and pop up-tempo stuff like "Roar" or "Birthday" work well, "Dark Horse" can only be described as a small highlight, but just at the slower tracks like "Ghost" or "Double Rainbow" is weakening Perry, whose voice objectively also not one of the strongest in the pop business. Since the quieter songs, almost all come at the end of the album, "Prism" in the last third loses unfortunately recognizable momentum because another dramaturgy of the CD would have been good. But besides a few lukewarm tracks like "Unconditionally" have crept in that are simply irrelevant and detract from the overall impression recognizable.
In sum, to get back to the opening statement, is "Prism" halt OK, no more, no less.
