First:
The headset is intended for Android phones. The remote control has a single button for the headset comes with an app from Android Market.
Unfortunately, the app and thus the headset is not compatible with all devices. As a summary the following statement from the App Description:
"- The app does not work with phones from Sony Ericsson and Samsung phones with older Android platform and it is due to different pin configuration 3,5mm They are using This requires an extra connector to be compatible with please go to our customer support.. for help if needed. "

I tested the headset with my iPhone 4. I originally wanted the app on Sony-Ericsson to try my wife, but unfortunately my Philips makes as a spanner in the works.
What I now missing is the volume control on the remote control, but this should not be an obstacle for the basic functions.
Optics / haptics
Amazing little music packages wrapped in an elegant metal housing.
My problem with in-ear headphones was so far that I even though I have "normal-large" ears, my pierced ears are apparently very small, or at least were incompatible with the rubber plugs. Sooner or later these things always fall out of my ears. The more I move, the more likely.
To date, because Philips adds another essay at: "Comply Foam Tip" call it the miracle part. In principle, it is "simple" foam essays that remind me of the material consistency of earplugs. And what can I say? Genial!
The Y-section of the cable is made of normal soft plastic, with transfer the grating noises at the clothes not particularly on the handset. The play between plug and Y, however, covered with a kind of cloth. This makes a high-quality impression, why the Y-section does not have this jacket, I do not understand and I find a shame as it would have completed the consistently high-quality impression.
In addition, the cable has a practical holder which allows you to connect the three ends and can prevent excessive knotting of the cable in the "wrapped" state. Good idea, but "fiddly" in the implementation a bit the cables remain correctly insert ...
However, the plug is not angled so that it always stands out from the device. Although the shell is more stable than the iPhone headphones, but that only means that it takes a little longer, until the thing ruptures / frayed.
Sound
Compared to the iPhone headphones a significant increase. Overall, a fuller sound experience. Which IMHO the in-ears because always have an advantage.
Micro
Very good. I find it difficult to make an unambiguous statement as because of the sound often depends on the quality of the connection. Recorded via the sound recorder voice memos sound crystal clear.
Overall, I give you a star deduction, because the headset and the app is not compatible with all Android phones.
After sharp look I remarked "Compatible with devices powered by Android 2.3 or later" found next to the Android Market logo. This lets me but not to conclude that an adapter cable is necessary, but only implied that the app requires Android 2.3.
Unfortunately, the headphones can be used as neither for me nor for my wife :(
Design, processing and function justify my four star all and who has the "right" phone, which is definitely worth five stars.
