- Episodes 12 & 13 - A team of Avengers visited Terre Sauvage to take care of the bomb sent by Ex Nihilo, genetic bomb that led to anthropomorphic creatures still children, with the capacity of s' self-sufficient (= no need for food or breathing). The team consists of Thor, Hyperion (Marcus), Superior Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Spider-Woman and Captain Universe.
These two episodes are developing the future of creatures created by one of the bombs 6 Ex Nihilo. They are essential to understanding the plot related to Gardeners (Gardeners) started in the first volume of the series.
Hickman continues flawlessly and relentlessly its sprawling plot, relative to individuals whose mission is to foster the emergence of life: Gardeners working on behalf of Builders. True to form, he developed a concept of science fiction (these self-sufficient individuals) of intriguing and innovative way, without fear to highlight that such creatures can have terrible. He directed Avengers 7 (a rather small number in relation to the distribution bloated it uses), with the same personal moments, especially for Hyperion who gossiped with Thor, trying to find his place and his reason for living in our dimension. The suspense is maintained by both the future of these children, but also by the fact that a third party wishes to recover (remove =) to closely study this evolution unusual.
The drawings of Mike Deodato have to believe the virtue of the characters and the environment in which they operate. Thus creatures created by the genetic bomb have the appearance of children in a decade, with a corresponding morphology, and appropriate expressions. They express the exhilaration and excitement own at that age and discoveries that accompany it. Thor and Hyperion are massive and muscular at will, while credible chatter on a grassy slope. The prehistoric monsters Wild Earth are both spooky and stem dinosaurs, displaying a terrible ferocity. Garokk (man petrified) is imposing by its stony rigidity. When the Avengers team involved, Deodato place without them tripping over. When Thor is lightning talk (literally), energy crackles from everywhere wreaking havoc on the enemy.

- Episodes 14-17 - The first sequence shows the emergence of creatures created by the bomb that landed in India; they are self-healing. They send a message: system failure. This message is reflected from other sites, particularly in Australia and the island of AIM. This site is under the responsibility of Superia (Deidre Wentworth). Through space, the message also reached a Tutor (Caretaker), which dispatches a robotic probe. The Avengers must intervene to Australia to contain the creatures generated by the bomb. Nightmask (Adam) continuing education Kale Kevin Conner so that he learns to use the Star Brand. From the orbital station of SWORD, Abigail Brand notes the influx of spacecraft around the Earth. Somewhere on the distant planet Galador the Spaceknights struggle against an unknown enemy.
These episodes are a prologue to the event as "Infinity" and have a string of information. Some fit together to tell a complete sequence, others are all parts of a large puzzle.
During 6 months, Jonathan Hickman wrote 4 episodes interconnected by month: 2 of the series "The Avengers," one of the series "New Avengers, and one of the miniseries" Infinity "In the end all these episodes (22 in total) form. a very dense history. The 4 episodes present here should therefore be seen as a prologue to this very dense history.
Through these episodes, Jonathan Hickman has several objectives. (1) Continue the plot related to Gardeners (Ex Nihilo and 6 bombs), recalling that his actions are linked to the existence of Caretakers and Builders. (2) Preparing the ground for Infinity cryptic distributed Captain Universe, the finding of Abigail Brand. (3) Continue the development of Star Brand, under the responsibility of Nightmask. (4) Prepare future intrigues (post Infinity) with AIM recovering the probe from the Caretaker. (5) Remind discreetly measures taken by the Illuminati in the series "New Avengers" (always with the Dyson sphere).
The main plot of these 4 episodes remains the appearance of two other types of creatures generated by the bombs. The Avengers must intervene to stop in Australia, through physical confrontations. It is evident that Stefano Caselli draws heavily Leinil Yu to have his characters as soon as there is more than 2 Avengers in the same box. The narration is a little less fluid than Deodato and some cells lack a bit of substance. By cons, it keeps the degree of conviction with serious and imminent danger. His drawings are all elements required by the narrative, but failed to arrive at a more aesthetically.
Jonathan Hickman continues to expand its plot including unpredictable but consistent developments and elements of the universe Marvel shared (the Spaceknights, Galador knights Rom which was the best-known representative on Earth). He even managed to squeeze in one or two times humorous (a character wearing an Omega on the chest and turning it into an A for Avengers). He does not forget to leave a little room for 1 or 2 characters selected here Kale Kevin Conner.
For the reader would have happened by chance in this volume, there is a safe bet that there will hear gout, seeing a horde of characters struggling without rhyme or reason, feeling to approach the understanding of a component to better despair the next page as the story goes on. For readers who have followed the series Avengers 2 from the beginning, it will be blown away by the ability to Hickman always expand the horizon of his plot, to incorporate elements of the universe Marvel shared, to include original elements of science -fiction, and installing a palpable suspense. Mike Deodato illustrates the first 2 episodes, with his customary ardor underlying. Caselli is more concerned with giving an appearance imposing on all these events, losing some playing rhythm.
