Sound (subjective opinion):
- There is a lack of bass, even taking into account the small size of the housing and the speaker himself
- In the middle are ok, also heights bit thin, though less thin than the bass. Overall my sound is but too undifferentiated and spongy. I had to constantly have to readjust the feeling something else, which is a little unrelaxed.
What the comparison to Sony may concern: At first (or perhaps better second) glance, the two are not dissimilar:
- 4 watts of power
- Stereo Speakers
- Both can be operated with 4 AA batteries - what was important to me personally
- Both have a line-in jack
- The Sony is expensive, yes that's true. But they play priced at least in similar leagues.
What makes the Sony stand out from Creative or what the Creative missing:
- Neither sonicated a concert hall, this much is clear. The Creative tendency but much earlier than the Sony to clank
- Practical carrying handle (there are, after all mobile loudspeakers!)
- Processing expected to total quality.
Ex .: The grid at Sony is made of metal, the Creative, this is a thin cloth. Also the closure of the battery compartment is better managed when Sony and easier to handle (the Creative must be deferred and, despite the admitted Tuck you slide often times with your fingers off).
- NFC
- Built-in microphone and thus Speakerphone
- Play / Pause button - allows you to pause the current song on the speakers
- At first this may seem trite, but it is quite an advantage that all keys are mounted above the Sony. They can thus operate easily with one finger. When the Creative On-Off button is mounted before the rear, which they have not been always in view. It is also so that the speaker when pressing the buttons will be happy once moved. In particular this is the case when the equipment is operated on mains supply without batteries, since this reduces the weight again.
- As already indicated it is possible the Sony louder ask what it is plain that the Creative with increasing volume is always unclean and begins to rattle. The Sony is of course no Nautilus, but sounds altogether more delicate and balanced.
Bottom line:
I'm not a fan of it, to recommend someone to a more expensive device if one has concocted a smaller budget. But in this case I have to say that the 20 Euro are already justified more for the Sony through the sonic superiority. In addition, you can tell by the Creative due to the lack of technical features that it has come a bit old.
EDIT: The difference in price is indeed now significantly larger. Therefore, the comparison is a little. I can recommend not to Creative anyway.
Overall, the Creative PC as Speaker or in the bedroom, although ok, a buy recommendation but I would not want to pronounce. For this has been in the area in recent years done too much.
