However, there is always an alternative if a regular stand with heavy ball head must stay at home, for example, when traveling by air or if the luggage is limited.
Then, the small and lightweight Cullmann Nanomax 200T served its purpose.
Better than I had first thought.
Some small "rules" in dealing with this stand, however you should consider:
- Utilization of the maximum load capacity of 2kg only with inserted center column and only in the horizontal position
- Lateral inclination of the ball head only slight camera models
As with all tripods to operate the camera via remote release or self-timer is absolutely mandatory.
Otherwise there is the slight Cullmann Nanomax 200T immediately to excessive camera shake (you then need also to use no tripod).
The ball head is held due to this travel tripod very small.
The retention properties are therefore naturally restricted or limited to lightweight camera models.
I have tests in this respect with my various camera models (weights of 200g, 500g and 2kg) carried out and found that:
- Using the self-timer or remote tripod provides the basis for sharp photos.
- The lighter camera models have been firmly and securely maintained sufficiently in any position.
- It was surprising that even my heavy Nikon D300, is still held sufficiently stable in the normal horizontal position with MB-D10 and 16-85mm (just under 2kg weight).
- When camera models without swivel display you have to squat or kneel, since the maximum height of the tripod does not permit a work in the state.
Conclusion:
For me, this is Nanomax 200T a very recommendable small travel tripod that in observance of the above "rules" big comes out and the photographic opportunities (twilight shots, HDR, etc.) significantly extended when traveling.
