Currently best travel zoom camera in the world

After I moved my entire SLR equipment around the world and finally sold have, because I have no desire to burden me at leisure with ballast and a photo-suitcase, I was looking for a travel zoom camera that the best compromise between weight / volume and quality of the images / videos offers.
To make it short: the Sony DSC HX50V I found the solution for me.

Meanwhile, I have the camera for three weeks in operation and a few hundred photos and about 1 hour videos (in 1080p - 50 frames / sec) was added.
Since this portal is now also used by competitors to take more mainstream, I was looking for before purchasing to independent tests on the net: Chip Online offers (in addition to others, such as [...]), a detailed current test the new camera (27 May 2013), and concludes: "Best Travel Zoom camera".

This review, I can only underline:
Photos:
+ Excellent results in wide-angle
+ Surprisingly well even in the (for me almost too large) Telezoom
+ Excellent sharpness in bright light
- Slightly decreasing sharpness with diffuse light

Files
+ Surprisingly high quality - better than for example in my last two Canon Power Shots that even Full HD offered.
+ And better than many other pure camcorder in this price range.
o microphone slightly sensitive to wind, but the sensitivity can be adjusted and there is a special "multi-interface shoe" for a separate stereo microphone, flash, additional viewfinder, et al.
- Under diffuse light conditions somewhat slow focus

Operation:
+ In the standard self-explanatory
+ Integrated explanations available in the Camera menu
+ Powerful battery (the original), but come at a price
- Manual (printed or as pdf) only for basic functions ("as I will present my card", etc.) available. However, for the extensive additional features of this device, there are (so far) only online user guide on the Sony-HP, which can be printed with difficulty only one page individually, not as a whole PDF document. Here is my opinion urgently need to catch up.

Conclusion:
not very cheap camera, but for me currently the best compromise.

Supplement 02/07/2013:
Since Sony in June 2013 still offered no special case for the camera, I have the following two bags bought and successfully used:

1. Sporting variant:
Manfrotto Model: NANO V - sporty, comfortable with plenty of space, however, has to be stabilized on the front page with a "plastic sheet" in order to protect the lens. So now my favorite bag.

2. Elegant Variation:
Cullmann Granada Compact 300: black leather: elegant and understated. Camera fits in well, Cards & Batteries are stowed elsewhere.
