Pro:
+ Solid construction, hard shell that protects well, no plasticizers odors etc.
+ Soft inner lining, dividing into several compartments
+ Plenty of room for Olympus PEN E-P5 with 17mm F1.8 and EVF-4 and spare battery. See photos, the camera adjusts the lens forward or downward. Alternatively fit instead of the EFV a Lenspen. Instead of 17mm fit securely other pancakes, as of Panansonic lenses: 14mm, 20mm, 14-42PZ, 12-32, from the Olympus 14-42 EZ or the 25mm F 1.8. A compatibility list can be found also on the manufacturer's website Rivacase.
+ All loops made of solid metal, not cheap plastic carabiner
+ Zippers run easily and through the great pop-Mechanismuss you can use the bag securely with one hand, without fear that it might fall out something. Risk of scratching the camera on the zipper I do not see.
+ Belt mounting possible.
Cons:
- Interior compartments unlockable, sometimes the spare battery tumbles therefore the main compartment.
- The beltloop is better than nothing, but a second loop would be needed, the bag hangs namely something wrong and would have with 2 loops more security. (In the case that the loop breaks.) How stable is the loop, I will report on some of more detailed testing.
I had looked at me the Cullmann Lago Vario and the Case Logic MSEC4K. Both are from Prizip similar, but without belt loop, without an inner bag (s) and, in particular: The belt attachment is bad for both: No metal, cheap plastic which can not even be replaced easily by a metal ring or -Karabiner. I therefore consider the RivaCase bag for the best, despite its small flaws, there is therefore 5 Stars.
